Behind the Scenes

From site research to sketching, paper prototypes to finished products, all pieces are handmade in Milwaukee from my home studio.

Due to the nature of handmade jewelry, variations in shape and finish are expected and celebrated as a one of a kind piece.

However, craftmanship and quality is never ignored. Each piece will be made with the utmost care and attention to detail.

About the Artist

Libby Linn is an artist and metalsmith with a master's in architecture and an undergraduate degree in design. Her desire to travel and explore new cities inspired her business, Blueprint Metals.

Years ago, Libby took a metalsmithing class at Lillstreet Art Center in Chicago and was immediately hooked on the craft.

She loves the sequential process metalsmithing requires. From initial concept sketches to rough prototypes, through refinement to final product - all steps that she shares on her Instagram page, @blueprintmetals.

She loves the meticulous attention to detail. The perfectly rounded edge, the unnoticeable solder seam, the hand-applied patina - leaving her unique mark on each piece.

She loves the longevity and pride of a well-crafted piece. Her desire to make jewelry and accessories to be worn with confidence while also withstanding the test of time.

Libby welcomes any opportunity for collaborations with other artists and businesses. Feel free to say hello!
